The musings of a man who explains his Catholic faith from Scripture, one who spends much prayer time focusing on the Passion, and one who drifted from the mainstream of Catholic practices. In other words, that weird dude sitting three-quarters to the back during Sunday Mass. That weird dude that nearly always wears black and brings a tablet to Mass and Adoration. Yeah, that dude. He’s the one writing all this.
Prayers
I thought it would be good for me to list what I recite during my daily prayers. Some prayer are 365 days, others are seasonal. I started recited prayer in January 2013 with a very basic book with a few prayers. Since then I’ve drawn material from so many sources that I had to create my own e-book just to keep track. Trinity and Intercessors
A bit about how I see the Lord–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–both in Scripture and in my life every day. The role Mary plays in salvation history and what I’ve learned from her devotions. How I bizarrely ended up with six female patron saints, all of whom are poles apart from me and each other. Some are immensely famous, others no so much. (Why do I get the feeling these girls–all of whom died young–are gonna group hug me if and when I enter the pearly gates?) Lastly, some canonized guys that also had an effect on me with their lives.

Meditations
[3] Samuel slept in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was. [4] And the Lord called Samuel. And he answered: Here am I. [5] And he ran to Heli and said: Here am I: for thou didst call me. He said: I did not call: go back and sleep. And he went and slept.
[6] And the Lord called Samuel again. And Samuel arose and went to Heli, and said: Here am I: for thou calledst me. He answered: I did not call thee, my son: return and sleep. [7] Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither had the word of the Lord been revealed to him. [8] And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose up and went to Heli. [9] And said: Here am I: for thou didst call me. Then Heli understood that the Lord called the child, and he said to Samuel: Go, and sleep: and if he shall call thee any more, thou shalt say: Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and slept in his place. [10] And the Lord came and stood: and he called, as he had called the other times: Samuel, Samuel. And Samuel said: Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth.
